Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Call of Duty: Black Ops II (abbreviated as COD: BO2, or sometimes COD: BlOps2) is a first-person shooter developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, and is the sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops. It was released on November 12, 2012. Square Enix released the game for the Japanese market on November 22, 2012. It is known as the game that marked the rise of competitive Call of Duty in esports, being used for the 2012-2013 Call of Duty esports season, and was eventually succeeded by Call of Duty: Ghosts.

It garnered a huge amount of attention when Major League Gaming announced that Halo would be removed from the MLG Pro Circuit, and replaced with Call of Duty: Black Ops II as its main-stage game. Leagues around the world supported the game, such as UMG, Gfinity and EGL.

The Call of Duty Championship (or CoD Champs for short) is Activision's annual $1 million cash prize tournament for the competitive scene, the largest tournament in CoD esports, where the best Call of Duty players from around the world converge and compete against each other. The 2013 edition saw Fariko.Impact crowned the champions, with a roster of Killa, MiRx, Karma and Parasite.
