Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Black Ops (abbreviated as COD: BO or COD: BlOps) is a 2010 first-person shooter developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. It is the seventh installment of the Call of Duty series. It is notable in the competitive console Call of Duty community for being the first Call of Duty game added to Major League Gaming's Pro Circuit, with prior games only appearing as an offline finals near the end of the year for their GameBattles Ladders.
Although the PC community continued with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2011, the competitive scene on console focused their attention on Call of Duty: Black Ops. The best Call of Duty players were based in North America, with everyone focused on the MLG Pro Circuit. This is the last Call of Duty game that did not have a million-dollar cash prize tournament.
