The 2016 Heroes of the Storm Gold Club World Championship, or "GCWC", is a premier international invitational tournament jointly hosted by NetEase and Blizzard Entertainment. Between November 11 and December 3, battles will be waged by the top Heroes of the Storm teams from around the world as they vie for the coveted GCWC title and a share of the US$300,000 prize pool. The final stages of the tournament will be played at the Water Cube—also known as the National Aquatics Center—an impressive Beijing landmark originally built for the 2008 Olympics.
