Mason "Symfuhny" Lanier is an American Warzone player, formerly a competitive Fortnite player. He currently is independent.

Symfuhny's career as a professional FPS player started on H1Z1. He was on a team called "Dare Rising" alongside players like Cloakzy and Aladdin. He later went on to play for Team Kaliber alongside players like HusKerrs and LyndonFPS. Symfuhny regularly was on the top of the leader boards for Pre-Seasons and was considered one of the best players. He played on a couple of LANs but none of them he came out of with a great result. He decided to change games and play Fortnite in early 2018 and stop playing H1Z1 when the game died out after the H1Z1 Pro League flopped.

He achieved immediate success on Fortnite, being regarded as the fastest editor on the game and winning $118,200 combined from the Fortnite Fall Skirmish and Fortnite Summer Skirmish. He mainly played with Players like Tfue, Chap, and Clix. In tournaments, he had many different teammates which he played with such as Destroy, Zayt, Reverse2k, Slackes, Branchies, Bhegs, and Heart.

Symfuhny joined NRG Esports after waiting a long time to sign to an Esports Organization on March 13, 2019. He had interest from other Organizations like TSM and 100 Thieves at the time. He failed to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup however he got close a couple times. Symfuhny continued to dominate the scene in the Fortnite after his signing with NRG, with his biggest achievement being his 9th place finish in the FNCS Season X Finals before he decided to quit competitive Fortnite. After this tournament, Symfuhny stopped playing in Fortnite Tournaments and focused on streaming and content creation.

Streaming Fortnite was getting very tough for Symfuhny as his Average viewer count fell from 10,000 in mid-2019 to 3,000 in early 2020. His Hours Streamed per Month also went from 200+ to 60. This is when he decided to venture off and he started playing Warzone once it got released in March of 2020. For the first two months of the game, Symfuhny played the game moderately with his streamer friends like GreekGodx, Myth, TimTheTatman, CourageJD, Trainwrecks and Nadeshot. However, eventually he got really good at the game as his K.D Ratio went from 3 to a 4.82 and he decided to compete in Keemstar's Warzone Wednesdays with DougIsRaw. In these tournaments, Sym and Doug would start a rivalry with top earners Vikkstar123 and WarsZ starting an EU vs. NA battle in the Warzone scene. Symfuhny and Doug never managed to win one of these tournaments and thats when the top Earner HusKerrs asked Sym to be his partner after his previous partner Diegosaurs left to play VALORANT

With their new Duo, Symfuhny and HusKerrs started dominating the whole Warzone scene by winning multiple tournaments. They won back to back Twitch Rivals : Warzone Showdown tournaments, multiple TeeP Trial tournaments, a $100,000 Minnnesota Rokkr Tournament, multiple Vikkstar's Warzone Showdown individually, and they also got multiple 2nd, 3rd, and 4th placements in major tournaments.

Symfuhny is currently one of the Top Earners in Warzone and is a very controversial player in that he has had a lot of heat towards him for faking hacks. However, he keeps winning tournaments and is averaging the most viewers he has ever had at 13,000. His NRG contract expired on September 1, 2020 and he is currently one of the hottest free agents in the eSports scene with rumors popping up about what team he will join next.
