i tried it out but it seems like it has no effect
(see: WCG 2012 CrossFire - Invictus Gaming and LoL Worlds 2015 - Cloud 9 and TSM)
Todays it was announced that 3 of the players of TSMs LoL division retire / leave the squad. However all of them have been playing at the current World Championship which will be finished until 31st October. TSM went out of the tournament in group stages. With the current way the site will handle this years World Championship as "Independent/unknown/Free agent" for those 3 players, because they left before the end (even though they played all the games for TSM). This also will effect the Team ranking list that is automatically generated out of the players prize pools while on a particular team.
Meanwhile in CS:GO there was this TWC tournament with mixed national teams took place. Right now, however, this tournament counts towards the team the players are usually plaing in (e.g. "EnvyUs" instead of "France" or "PENTA" instead of "Germany" etc.)
I think I pointed this out previously, because I feel like this is one of the biggest weaknesses this database still has. An update if/how/when you plan on fixing this issue would be really appreciated.
H1Z1 had some weird celebrity invitational recently but it counts as earnings i guess: https://www.h1z1.com/invitational
Why do you delete unknown players in single player tournaments (like the recent Hong Kong Esport tournaments for USF and HS) This way the total prize money of the tournament is shown wrong. I thought thats exactly what this new unknown player function was made for. :/
see title. Thanks.
I think we should avoid sth like this: http://www.esportsearnings.com/tournaments/9828-cpl-summer-2005-day-of-defeat
because it gives the wrong idea that coL Team consisted of only one player. If the complete roster cant be found I'd just add a note in the description.
edit: I did some research and found this: http://www.zpgaming.eu/coveragenews/456-cal-invite-season-10-page-7.html its the roster of coL exactly one month after the tournament plus an interview. Maybe one can reverse engineer the roster from this. I just dont rly have the time for it right now.
not really the purpose of this site. main pages of the big wikis (liquipedia for cs,sc2,heroes,dota2,hearthstone and ssbm and also esportspedia for lol, halo, smite and cod) usually feature upcoming events.
Bug Report:
http://www.esportsearnings.com/players/3091-bunny-patrick-brix/resultsbyteam#1
It says he has one earning on Evil Geniuses. But he never played for EG. However the one tournament that he is listed for in EG, he played with a player, who actually is on EG (Demuslim). Found another similar example where Bjergsen has one tournament for CLG because he won one Tournament where some other players from other teams where in the team too.
should we add sth like "Date of Death" as an option for player profiles? There are actually a few cases, e.g. a SC:BW player died to leukemia ~2011 and Warcraft player "Deadman" [kinda ironic...] from russia also was found dead very recently.
also could you give a reply on wheter you plan to look at some of the other proposed ideas or if there are other priorities atm
just a small note: i will rearrange the Go4LoLs which will again cause a little bit of spam in the publishing queue. The reason is, that I want to sort them by regions just like its done for e.g. @ Zotac SC2 Cups (divided into EU and NA). There are actually a lot of countries/regions that run Go4LoLs and i hope to implement them somewhen so I think this step is needed at this point
I'll start exchanging Leaguepedia-Links for the Esportspedia-Links today, cause they are of equal quality or better in every case and has an active bunch of workers constantly improving the site. Also some of the Leaguepedia Links are broken cause they changed their domain. Just wanted to clarify in case anyone is wondering what on earth I did with all the pages that will be on the Publishing queue soon. ;)
I think the reason we dont have this is because noone of the devs knew it exists (personally i never saw a single HoN broadcast although i think i added some HoN DreamHacks and also the LAN finals you mentioned). But the exact prize pools for season 1 and 2 and also the dates would be needed here. Player information is always nice but not necessary (i.e. can be left blank if there is no way to find the exact roster anymore)
Carom3D
Heroes of the Storm
Red Stone
"maybe with an automatic message for each tournament published."
this might be a spam orgy when we are grinding a dozen of Go4s in a few minutes :D
Except that its a good idea.
wut? If you are a player and miss a tournament in the database you won money in just add all the information at http://www.esportsearnings.com/tips
If you want to actually earn money here I guess you are at the wrong place
slightly offtopic: I watched some of your videos a few months ago. I particulary remember a Commander Keen feature, which was one of the first games I remember playing back when I was very young (like 8 years or stuff). I cant even remember how I got it and if I finished it, but watching the video brought me some nostalgia. :D
Lol, I never had the idea to click on those, my bad I guess. :D
Maybe you could add a small remark under the picture like "click for license detail/additional information [whatever]" or just a tooltip, but well its not as bad as I thought then. As I mentioned before I'm also an author at Wikipedia which made me beeing aware of those Copyright shenanigans. What I said about the player descriptions should still apply though.
Currently some of those weekly type tournaments are added as "WIN" and some others at "1st" (with shinny golden background). Any guideline what is better to use?
I use "WIN" if its only one player/team in the money and "1st"/"2nd" when there are two, however this is kind of inconsistent. No idea how to really fix that and probably not that much of a big deal; I just wanted to point it out.
