Time for a thread for articles that use this site as a reference (there were quite a lot already)
Just today I found this:
http://www.esports.gg/china-to-overtake-korea-in-highest-tournament-earnings-of-any-country/
I think the ridiculous amount of TI4 prize money is mostly responsible for this trend. Also maybe it would be a better comparison if you combine Europe to make it a better comparison to countries like China or USA, although the population of Korea isnt that big as well.
edit: just saw on the r/esports comments that you (@Vanix) saw it too. Dat reply though :3
wut? If you are a player and miss a tournament in the database you won money in just add all the information at http://www.esportsearnings.com/tips
If you want to actually earn money here I guess you are at the wrong place
i want to update my photo and the money that i had won, im from Peru, please contact www.facebook.com/scorer.pe
I had seen this website in a article, which mentioned earning money. Thank you tmv23 for responding. how do I go about or finding the correct website to earn money for playing games, and or getting into a tournament to get to earn money?
Schemers, to earn money now for gaming compete on Majorleaguegaming.com or WorldGaming.com...
Tmc23, question can I summit info about tournaments that I know of & who won and how much earnings. I know several madden & nba2k tournaments.?

if you know some tournament results, but you dont have any external sources, I'd suggest write them down here in the board and maybe we find some external sources by targeted google search. I know the coverage for NBA/Madden/FIFA etc. games isnt the best overall but without external sources we dont add stuff.
If you already have the external sources you can add them easily via http://www.esportsearnings.com/dev/main
Hi guys,
As someone who checks the rankings quite often, I think it would be nice to have a "last month position" and "last year position" columns. You could put it for players, teams and even orgs.
It would help seeing who's improving, who's not. And you could add some color (green/red) to put some eye candy on the website.
Cheers
Seems like a good idea. I think I already have everything in place to implement it. I'll see what I can do.
EDIT: It seems implementing it is more complicated than I thought. I'll have to work on it when I have more free time.

This article claims that "Chen “Hao” Zhihao, 24, of China raked in more than $1.1 million in a combination of tournament winnings and endorsements playing “Dota 2,". Maybe there needs to be a disclaimer at the top of the page that explains that the site only lists prize money. I could see that it would also be helpful if there's something that explains that players make money not only from prizes but from salary, sponsorship, streaming and other sources. A lot of articles that cite this site tend to assume that the numbers listed are the entirety of player income.
right now we have 2 similar teams with
http://www.esportsearnings.com/dev/public_teams/402 G2 Esports
and
http://www.esportsearnings.com/dev/public_teams/256 Gamers 2
imo this is just a minor rebrand similar to the recent change of "Yoe Flash Wolves" to "Flash Wolves" that shouldnt be regarded as 2 different teams. I'd like if the delete the " G2 Esports " (id 402) gets deleted and the " Gamers 2 " (id 256) gets renamed to G2 Esports with a note in the description that it was formerly known as Gamers2.
Thoughts?
