I am part of the PC CoD era, the last competitive title being Call Of Duty 4, in fact one of the players who earned the most in CoD4 and dominated early 2008 through to late 2009 when I quit (I'm on the rankings on this site). I can tell you that I earned at least 3 to 4 times more than what is on this webiste, but with it being so long ago and winning so many things with smaller prize money, it's hard to keep track of.
Most of the major Call Of Duty online hubs have been gone for a while now. This isn't so much the communities fault as much as it is Activision's. With the push of console and no backing for the PC crowd, our community struggled to keep the game alive. It finally breathed its last breath on or around late 2014. http://eu.cybergamer.com did its best to keep it going but ultimately with no incentive to get better at the game other than for fun, it hasn't been able to retain players, other than those who still play on stock servers.
A major part of why all these other titles are extremely active is the cash and competitions surrounding these games. Something we unfortunately lack :( Shame really, CoD4 was an extremely fun and spectator friendly esports title with very intense matches.
